How are the plates and bowls made?
They start with Glenn’s design, his creative mind and imaginative idea, then move to a model, then to a mould (in collaboration with Bendigo Pottery – an internationally recognised, historically significant pottery in Bendigo, a Victorian town 150km north west of Melbourne).
Bendigo Pottery handcrafts each piece with Australian stoneware. While moulds and presses ensure consistency of shape, every piece having the same designed unbalanced aesthetic, each piece is also unique, no two being precisely the same with harmonious variation in shade and overall feel.
What are your delivery costs?
We ship Australia-wide, your orders are based on weight and then calculated from which state you are in. When you check out, your items will be calculated from there. For anyone that is based in Melbourne, we do offer a pick up service. You can pick up your products and save on the delivery fee. Please inform us on your order, if this is your preference and we shall email you the pick up details.
We do ship overseas. Currently our pricing is charged on a day to day bases, reflective of the ever changing Australian dollar. We would prefer you to contact us by email, we can then calculate the freight and let you know as soon as we are able.
Can the pieces break?
Simply, yes. They are ceramic. Overall, the range is relatively robust and quite resilient. Each piece is dishwasher and oven friendly below 150°C (including microwave ovens). That said, given enough pressure, any ceramic piece can chip or fracture, the more vulnerable pieces being the smaller plates. The GTH pieces will not respond like a fine china saucer but still require care.
How long does delivery take?
As each of our items are made to order, we generally allow a 3 week turn around. Sometimes we do have product in stock, if this is the case, you will be contacted by one of our friendly staff members, and your goods will be shipped out straight away.
For anyone that is local in Melbourne, you can come and pick up your products and save on the delivery fee. Please inform us on your order if this is your preference and we shall email you the pick up details.
What is your returns policy?
We do have a non return policy, as each piece is handmade to order, in Melbourne. We suggest you order carefully as we would like to ensure you are happy with your purchase.
We will return any piece that may be broken or damaged during the delivery process. We will need the product returned, before we send you the new product. We will also absorb any further delivery cost.
