RECIPE: Buckwheat Porridge with Pear and Crunchy Maple Granola

There’s nothing quite like porridge during the Winter months. Created by founder of The Well Nest, Valeria Ramirez, this buckwheat porridge with pear and crunchy maple granola, takes inspiration from her childhood living in Russia. Perfectly paired with GT Homewares, this breakfast meal is quick, easy and the ideal  for the colder months.

Ingredients: 

½ cup toasted buckwheat groats
1/2 cup milk of your choice
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch cinnamon
fresh fruit, granola and maple syrup to serve

Method:

  1. Combine buckwheat, milk, water, vanilla and cinnamon into a container and allow to soak overnight.
  2. In the morning add a little more milk and cook your porridge over low heat until it becomes thick and creamy.
  3. Transfer to your favourite bowl, top with fresh fruit, crunchy granola and drizzle with a little honey or maple syrup.
